Starset was formed in 2013 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. They are Dustin Bates’ child, which is also a member of Downplay. Taking over the vocals and keyboards, he is the leading songwriter of the band. His interest in space, can be reflected in Starlet’s name as well as photo shoots apart from their music itself. Certainly, he is an electrical engineering PhD holder. On July 8, 2014 their debut album Transmissions was released.

Their current line-up consists of Bates, as well as Brock Richards on the guitars, Ron DeChant on the bass and Adam Gilbert on the drums.

Their musical style is dominated by a strong cinematic atmosphere, blending powerful guitar riffs with electronic and symphonic elements. Hans Zimmer, Muse, Sigur Ros, Nine Inch Nails and Breaking Benjamin have been cited as influences by Bates.

Formed in 2005 Five Finger Death Punch come from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Their name comes from the eponymous super-move in Tarantino’s film “Kill Bill”. The band’s founders are bassist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer. In late 2006 they recorded their debut album The Way of the Fist. In 2007, they signed to Firm Music and Pre-Emptive Strike EP was released. Songs like the The Bleeding contributed to the success of the release. In summer of 2007 they went out on their first major tour, to support Korn in Family Values Tour. They supported Disturbed’s Indestructible US tour, in 2008. Their first album The Way of the Fist was re-released on May 13, 2008. Their second album War Is the Answer was released in 2009. From their first days, FFDP is band that has achieved rapidly growing success, a process that never ceased to this day. They have sold over 2.6 million albums in the USA.
