Fear Factory is tracking on Billboard’s trending emerging artists chart, but as you may know these guys “emerged” over two decades ago. Perhaps Billboard needs a chart called ‘re-emerging artists’ for those that show up in Twitter trends unexpectedly.
Their single “Dielectric ” dropped slightly to land in today’s 12th position. Finding some true rockers on the list was a pleasant surprise after skipping through dozens of R&B, Rap, Pop, Hip-Hop and country singles to finally land on this double bass high powered hit. “Dielectric” is from their ninth studio album entitled GENEXUS.
The official video was posted by the band two days ago on August 7th, 2015.
Fear Factory was formed in 1989 by guitarist Dino Cazares and drummer Raymond Herrera. Burton Bell was the first lead vocalist to complete the original line up. Since then the group has been through changes in both genre and group members, but with the return of Cazares in 2009 the original core is mostly maintained with the exception of Herrera who did not rejoin in 2009. The versatile Mike Heller has been n drums with the group since 2012. Tony Campos, the newest member, plays bass guitar and provides backup vocals.
