Adds US’s Hatebreed and Steel Panther To Upcoming “Homecoming” Dates
It’s been a busy summer so far for the crazy rock n’ roll gangsters from Denmark. On the road this year since February, Volbeat shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon by having shows booked worldwide all the way through November. It’s no secret, Volbeat has gotten where they are in the vast and competitive world of rock by following one simple plan: outwork everyone else.
For an upcoming headlining gig in native Denmark, dubbed one of two “homecoming” shows, Volbeat recently announced that a trio of bands will be opening for that special Copenhagen date. Those bands are Steel Panther and Hatebreed from the US, along with the UK’s own Paradise Lost. On the addition of Paradise Lost, the band’s official website wrote:
“In Copenhagen the opening act will be PARADISE LOST who, since forming in 1988, has helped shape both the gothic and doom metal sub-genres. The band is currently putting final touches to what will be their 14th studio album.”
Should be quite a show. The other remaining “homecoming” date will be in Horsens, Denmark and feature Kitty, Daisy, and Lewis and Pretty Maids along with the aforementioned Paradise Lost.
Besides the August homecoming shows, highlights of the remaining 2014 World Tour include stops in Russia and France before embarking on an extensive US tour that will carry the band through October before hitting the UK for a half-dozen final dates this year. Whew! Not touring does not seem like an option for these guys.
Volbeat is touring in support of their 2013 release Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, which peaked at no. nine on the Billboard 200, as well as peaking at number one on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart.
Tour dates can be found on the band’s official website.
